Thanks, Jenny! I don’t see anything wrong with sharing your blogging experience with your friends, I’m sure they’re happy for you. It’s always good to keep things in perspective though. Thanks for the comment and I look forward to watching your blog grow over time 🙂

The last point has been top of mind lately. I’m a newish blogger and devoting a lot of time to it. Every time I’m tempted to go on and on about to my IRL friends I have to remind myself that while my friends are happy that my blog is making me happy, they really don’t want a play-by-play of all I’m doing.

Psychology is a massive part of personal finance and the more you can understand it, the more you can avoid the common pitfalls most people succumb to 🙂

If there were a magic bullet, indeed everyone would be FIRE’d instantly and nobody would have to work for it. But that’s not the case, and I’m glad it’s not because all the personal growth occurs in the process, not in the end result 🙂

I love all of these so much. The more we learn these lessons about how our brains can sometimes lead us astray, the more power we have in changing our thoughts and actions and reaping the benefits.

No one wants to hear about 10 years of hard work; it’s juicier to hear about how you can quickly copy someone for the same results. But if there were a magic bullet, wouldn’t everyone be FIRE’d?

As a result, we can be free to do what we want with our lives without the pressure of society. We can live in a way that makes us comfortable and happy without thinking we are happy based on the approval of others 🙂
