“Ironically the ones which require the least money may yield the most happiness” – I think many people would agree with this if they truly judged what brought them real happiness. Often the best things in life truly are free.

It sounds like you’ve done a great job of identifying what brings you joy and what you’re okay spending money on. Hope you enjoyed being out on the ewater this weekend! 🙂

This is thought-provoking. It makes me want to have a conversation with my wife and kid and ask what do we truly enjoy doing and do more of it. It’s important to recall past experiences and grade what level of happiness and satisfaction we achieved from them. And ironically the ones which require the least money may yield the most happiness 🙂

I’ve gotten way better over the last several years to align my spending with what I value. For instance this weekend I’m going sailing on a tall ship. I love being out on the water but the opportunity doesn’t happen often, so I’m willing to spend $20. I know a lot of people will probably go out to eat after, but I don’t value that, so I will bow out after we are done and head home. It could be too easy to go along with the herd.
