No doubt many bloggers quit without ever breaching 15k/views per month and blogging in English certainly allows me to reach a wider audience, which is a built-in advantage I have without doing anything to earn it. I appreciate your feedback and I hope you continue to enjoy the blog in the future 🙂

Yeah the point is very valid, and I liked the post. But be aware of winner bias in your own project and fellow bloggers whom you talk to. There are many other bloggers who quit without ever reaching these numbers, they tend to not talk about it either.

Blogging in English does help ofcourse, maybe I should switch. But it’s not my native language unfortunately.

I’m not trying to be critizing by the way, I enjoy your blog! I believe you are doing great, keep it up.

I’m also glad I overcame the trough of sorrow, it has certainly been rewarding connecting with so many people through this blog and through my writing. Agreed that there exists survivorship bias here – undoubtedly there were several other teams during this time period who also worked just as hard and consistently acquired talented players each year, yet failed to win the Finals. The bigger point I’m trying to make in this article is that although persistence doesn’t guarantee success, lack of persistence almost certainly guarantees failure.

I agree that 15k visitors in my second month was unusually high, however I have talked to several bloggers who have achieved 15k visitors/month by month 6, which is essentially where I was at after 6 months as well. The point is that the early stages of any new endeavor are often discouraging because you just don’t experience as much growth as you anticipated.
