Oh wow – that’s so nice to hear! And yes I’ve heard Ty lives around here somewhere though I have yet to meet him. Definitely keep it in your back pocket. It’s a great walkable city with no need for a car (or at least that’s how we’ve been rolling since moving here almost 4 years ago πŸ™‚ ).

Thanks SAHD FIRE! I went to St. Louis earlier this summer to visit some friends actually. We’ll have to connect if I head back out there again!

Good point! That ratio is highest in Cincy. In general, when I run the numbers, I find that it’s a pretty good city to build wealth in.

You actually crossed my mind as I was writing this post! I believe Ty from Camp FIRE Finance also is based in Seattle. I’ve been a couple times on vacation, it’s a nice place. I’ll keep it in my back pocket for future places to move to πŸ™‚

I have a cousin who lives in Salt Lake City and she loves it. It seems like a great place to earn a high salary relative to the cost of living, and outside of the financial benefits it seems like a place with a ton of natural beauty and nature. I would definitely consider moving there in the future!

Nice to see my city, St Louis, up there.

Though I do of course want you to move to our lovely city of Seattle, uprooting your life could close that savings gap between Cincinnati and here. Fine – I concede πŸ™‚ .

The growing Silicon Slopes area here offers a ton of options close to the mountains too.

Now if they can only figure out their weird alcohol laws it’d be an ideal state.
